A very fine enamel on copper portrait in an ormolu frame. The miniature portrait bust of a beautiful young woman with her hat and bodice in translucent enamel work. The frame has a neo-classical border surmounted by a Louis XV style motif. Signed lower right.
The enamel is probably from Limoges, France, and dates about 1875.
