Pair of Sèvres style bleu céleste and gilt decorated vases ferrés; the incurved collars and covers with pine cone finials above interlaced rims, on splayed feet. Four oval reserves on each vase, suspended from cords and bows and with oak leaf surrounds are decorated with polychrome paintings of pastoral scenes of lovers after Francois Boucher. There is a minor chip on one base (see photo) and a few of the tiny “jewels” are missing. France, c.1850
