Samson of Paris Armorial vase decorated in the 18th Century Chinese export style. The shape, with scrolling foliate handles over polychrome and gilt decoration, was taken from the Sevres vase à Oreilles of the mid 18th century. The underside is marked with the Samson rouge-de-fer mark. There is no damage or repair. France, c.1875
