Louis XVI transitional style occasional table with extremely fine and unusual ormolu mounts and beautiful kingwood veneers. The galleried and inset top is set with a Sèvres plaque in puce color. The under shelf is also galleried and centered with a fine ormolu finial.
All the ormolu is cast and then hand chased. The cherubs at each corner seem to represent the four winds, as their cheeks are filled with an imminent puff. The details of the woodwork are exquisite.
