Designed in 1905 by Georg Jensen, the delicate Blossom bud was originally created for Jensen’s legendary teapot. Not until 1919 did he create the entire cutlery range which is the epitome of the silversmith’s intense and personal interpretation of the Art Nouveau style. The Blossom pattern is the result of Georg Jensen’s quest to unite art and craft through the organic forms of nature. The stem of the flower which winds itself upwards around the handle emerging as a flower bud on the verge of bursting open illustrates Georg Jensen’s deep inspiration from nature.
