A very unusual and high quality Meissen figure of a reclining lynx atop an integral pedestal.  The bottom marked with underglaze blue crossed swords, the Roman numeral II, and inscribed under the glaze C260.  No damage or repairs.

This is a Meissen porcelain figure titled "Liegender Luchs" (Lying Lynx), designed by Paul Walther around 1910-1924. It features a naturalistic form with fine polychrome painting on a white glazed base.  Authentic pieces often bear the Meissen blue crossed swords mark, along with model number C260 or G260.
