Japanese Pigeon Blood (Akasuke) Cloisonne signed vase.
This is an unusually large size and shape. The body is best described as a square with rounded corners. The base and neck rims are silver plated. In very good condition with no dings or pressure marks. The basse-taille work depicts flying sparrows and bamboo around the vase. Circa 1890 - 1895, Meiji Period.
