A hard to find piece of early Sabino, in perfect condition. Sabino and Lalique were contemporaries in Paris, each following their own muse. Sabino developed the opalescent colored glass, which he achieved by mixing slight amounts of gold in with the glass. Sabino was one of the premier artists of the Art Deco period, and like Lalique, is still in business today. He is known for his birds, fish, animals, and figurines. I think the few blotters he made were primarily gifts to his dealers.
